My 8 year old wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. We had gotten him the white NASA spacesuit for his birthday, and so for Christmas we got him the boots (M) to go with it. He loves to dress up in the whole costume, and the boots are pretty easy for him to get on and off himself. He usually wears them with his slippers around the house, because they are open on the bottom with straps to go over shoes. The patches are very authentic.
I bought these boots to complete the Astronaut costume I bought for my 5 1/2 year old. He loves them and they totally complete the costume! I would definitly buy these if you bought the costume. They do tend to run small. My son wears a Size 12/1 and they just fit over his shoes... it was tight getting them on but once they were on they fit perfect. I would buy larger than you think you should.
